Account Officer

Responsibilities
Stock Accounting:
Manage and maintain accurate stock records.
Reconcile physical inventory with records and investigate discrepancies.
Generate regular stock reports for management review.
Bookkeeping:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
Prepare and review financial statements.
Use of Accounting Software:
Proficient use of Quickbooks to streamline financial processes.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data entered into the system.
Provide training and support to team members on the use of accounting software.
General Accounting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Accounts Receivable and Payable:
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Process invoices and ensure timely payment and collection.
Reconcile vendor and customer statements.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external use.
Assist in the preparation of financial presentations.
Audit Support:
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
Provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4 - 6 years of work experience in accounting.
Proficiency in Accounting Software.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary:
NGN 150,000 - 170,000
