Architect / Site Engineer

Location: Lagos state


Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Conceptualization: Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define project objectives and feasibility. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.

Architectural Design and Development: Develop detailed architectural drawings, and specifications; handle solution-driven design concepts, presentations, and proposals according to client’s brief. Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards.

Quantity Surveying: Ensuring the plans, drawings and quantities are accurate for calculations; setting out, levelling and surveying the site

Budget Management: Assist in developing project budgets and timelines. Monitor project costs and make design adjustments to stay within budget.

Collaboration and Coordination: Work with engineers, contractors, interior designers, and other professionals. Ensure architectural design integrates seamlessly with the project plan.

Quality Control and Construction Oversight: Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to design specifications. Conduct site visits and inspections.

Documentation and Reporting: Communicate project progress and challenges to clients and stakeholders. Incorporate client feedback into the design process.

Sustainability and Environmental Considerations: Integrate sustainable design principles and environmentally friendly materials when applicable.

Safety Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address design-related challenges.

Government Agencies: Liaising with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws


Requirements

B.Sc in Architecture or related fields.

3 - 7 experience on site.

Professional certification is an added advantage.

Structural engineering, project management and quantity surveying knowledge is a crucial advantage.
