Position Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and supervision for the following departments when created: Recruitment, Admission, Records and Registration, Testing, Library Services; Student Organizations; Student Housing, International Education, and Secondary Schools Partnership;
Coordinate and supervise admission and registration activities in accordance to enrollment management strategies; ensure relevant public service announcements are conducted;
Support to the College’s student organizations, clubs and activities through;
Compile and analyze student enrollment data, including demographic trend data; determine recruitment needs; and promote diversity of students;
Ensure adherence to all admission policies and procedures; and maintenance of student records;
Ensure that admissions data are reliably summarized and secured, and that registration process is devoid of inconsistencies and fraud;
Supervise the maintenance of academic records for each student; from admission to graduation; and review requests for transcripts and transfer activities;
Develop and manage articulation programs with other academic institutions nationally and internationally, including dual enrollment programs for local secondary (high) school student;
Develop study abroad and exchange programs for students;
Chair recruitment, registration and graduation standing committee; and
Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Position Requirements:
The Associate Vice President for Student Affairs shall possess at least a Master’s Degree in Education or related fields (terminal degree preferred); with extensive experience in educational administration and supervision.
Must be schooled in a variety of educational and management programs; must be able to provide strong leadership in developing, implementing, and continually updating strategies to supports academic support services.
The Associate VP is expected to promote high standards for scholarship, academic achievement, honesty and professional integrity; and be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, be able to work with and develop programs for secondary (high) school students, and have effective written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
The incumbent must have excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and managerial skills; the ability to formulate and articulate policies, procedures, expectations, and practices. The successful candidate shall have strong analytical, problem solving, mathematical/statistical, time management and organizational skills. The individual must have the ability to use technology efficiently and appropriately
