Welding & Fabrication Technician

Location: Abuja and Rivers state

Employment Type: Full time

Responsibilities

Fabrication of steel structures and other projects.

Repairs and assembling of machines and equipment.

Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings as well as take measurements to plan layout and procedures.

Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.

Testing and regular inspection of welded structures.

Requirements

Minimum qualification of HND in Mechanical/Welding Engineering or any related technical course.

AWS welding certification is an added advantage.

At least 5 years work experience in welding and fabrication.

Relative safety standards related to the procedures and practices of the trade.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Ability to create bill of material for simple projects.

Good coordination skills, as well as spatial and abstract reasoning.

Good decision making and problem-solving skills.

Good troubleshooting and reporting skills.
